The Corporate Education Center provides a variety of short-term, non-credit, training opportunities for several thousand individuals and several hundred businesses throughout western South Dakota annually.

The Center is for new or existing businesses or industry groups that are considering expansion or upgrading of employee skills. It also assures businesses and industries relocating to South Dakota the availability of employers and employees.

Your options include:

Ų Open enrollment classes published in a flyer in the spring and fall. These are short-term classes that are of interest to a multitude of individuals: one-day computer classes; certified business professional courses in customer service, sales, leadership, business communication, business etiquette, project management; computer-aided drafting; CDL seminar; defensive driving; basic welding; etc.

Ų Customized training for an individual company. The Corporate Education Center assists companies in assessing their training needs, developing curriculum, securing resources, and providing the training. The Corporate Education Center utilizes qualified, experienced instructors from education and industry. The Center serves all of western South Dakota, on and off-site, and we will: 1) bring the training to a company site; or 2) conduct the training at the school. Ų Industry training for specific careers that require less than a year: Professional Truck Driving, EMT, Dental Assistant Apprenticeship Training. Some restrictions apply for these programs.

Ų Continuing education or certification requirements for specific industries, such as: continuing ed for licensed electricians, forklift operator certifications, EMT Refresher, and CPR recertifications.

Ų Lease Our Facilities. The Customized Training Center (CTC) is an exceptional setting for training, seminars and educational workshops (some restrictions apply). The CTC has elevated seating for up to 140 people and is equipped with computer projection equipment, large screens, TV-VCRs, transparency projectors. WDT Food Services can provide refreshments and meals for large or small groups. Free, convenient parking is available near all buildings.
