The Programming and Application Development program strikes a balance between theory and application. The first year builds a solid foundation of basic skills required for all programming tasks including scripting, light application building concepts and database administration. The second year challenges you by giving you the knowledge required to build much more complex applications.  Advanced programming concepts such as cryptography, application security, mobile device applications, artificial intelligence, and cutting edge web technologies are covered. 

You will learn about real-life application programming scenarios making you immediately productive when you graduate and prepared to take on a variety of programming roles. You also will be prepared to continue learning and advancing within the field, allowing you to work within an organization to apply your programming skills to business strategy, tactics, and goals by solving problems with custom software. 

After completing this program, you will have the knowledge to take and pass tests for Microsoft MCP certification in the use of Visual Studio, the .Net 2.0 framework, Windows development and web development.
