2008-2009 Financial Aid Process

Award year July 1, 2008-June 30, 2009

Step 1:
Complete the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid
  • Complete your FAFSA on-line!
  • Don't forget to request your 4-digit PIN number at www.pin.ed.gov.
  • to go totally paperless and e-sign your FAFSA!
Step 2:
C
omplete your Student Loan Application

While your FAFSA establishes your eligibility for aid, a Student Loan Application is required to actually receive educational loan funds for your education.

Step 3:
Complete WDT Aid Forms and/or other documentation
Step 4:
Financial aid is Awarded. . .check your E-mail

You will receive an e-mail notifying you of your aid award. Print, sign, date and return your award letter to complete the acceptance process. NEW students must complete Entrance Counseling, presented during Welcome Day, before aid can be disbursed.

Step 5:
Financial Aid is disbursed at the beginning of the Term

Financial aid is not applied to your account balance, rather you will be required to contact the Student Account Office to settle your tuition/fee account (with your aid).

Other Information

The following information is available regarding the rights and responsibilities of students who are applying for or receiving any financial assistance from: Federal Pell Grant, FSEOG, FWS and Federal Stafford Loan Programs. The Financial Aid Office may be contacted for student consumer information listed below.

  1. Continued eligibility for aid.

  2. Satisfactory academic progress.

  3. Methods and means of aid payment.

  4. Responsibility of student repayment of loans and grants.

  5. Terms and conditions of work-study employment.

  6. Costs of attending WDTI.

  7. Refund policy of tuition or fees.
