Computer-Aided Drafting is a four-semester Associate of Applied Science degree program. Our program is hands-on. You will spend most of your day learning by doing. You will prepare drawings under the guidance of instructors who are true experts. As a result, you will graduate with the abilities and knowledge that set you apart from the crowd.

Drafters prepare technical drawings and plans used by production and construction workers to build everything from manufactured products such as toys, toasters, industrial machinery, and spacecraft to structures such as houses and office buildings.

Drafters today almost exclusively use computers for their work. Our program gives you access to the latest computer technology. Our students own their own laptops and use cutting edge equipment, including GPS and GIS technology. That guarantees that you will complete your education with a thorough understanding of the equipment you’ll find at your first job.

Through the Computer-Aided Drafting program, you will prepare for a wide variety of careers. Our recent graduates are now employed by Britton Engineering and Land Surveying, Infinity Design Builders, Spirit Air, TMI, Valmont Industries, Thad Olson Construction, All Metal Manufacturing, Dakota Arms, Western Mine Service, and other businesses.
