To provide high-quality, integrated and responsive services to promote students’ academic and personal success in support of retention and graduation goals. The Student Success Center will provide a collaborative and effective delivery of academic advising, tutoring, and other services to meet the needs of WDT students.
Peer tutoring is available for Western Dakota Tech students for General Education subjects. Tutors at the Student Success Center have been approved as proficient in the subjects they tutor in. The Student Success Center organizes workshops and hosts speakers. These workshops are designed to help students improve proficiently in the WDT Core Abilities. The Student Success Center is able to guide students through questions they may have on WDT policies and procedures, such as the Student Code of Conduct and Student Complaint/Grievance Procedure. The Student Success Center is also able to connect students with community resources to address situations that can affect their academic performance. Students can always contact the Student Success Center if they are unsure of where to receive certain student services. The Student Success Coaches will gladly aid the student in getting where he or she needs to go.
