II. General Statement of Policy
A. The policy of Western Dakota Tech (WDT) is that no federal funds may be used to pay any person for influencing or attempting to influence an officer or employee of any agency, a member of Congress, an officer or employee of Congress, or an employee of a member of Congress in connection with the awarding of any federal contract, the making, entering into, or extension, continuation, renewal, amendment, or modification of any federal grant or loan or federal cooperative agreement. No federal student aid funding may be used to hire a registered lobbyist or pay any person or entity for the purpose of securing an earmark.
B. It shall be a violation of this policy if this policy is not followed and federal funds are used in any way to pay for agreements pertaining to lobbying.
III. Definitions
A. “Lobbying” means to seek to influence a politician on any issue.
B. “Federal Funds” means any money WDT receives from the Federal Government.

V. Dissemination of Policy and Training
A. This policy shall appear on the WDT website on the policy webpage.
