ALICE Instructor Training

July 18, 2018  8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Public invited to register for upcoming ALICE instructor training

Rapid City, S.D. – The Rapid City Police Department will be hosting ALICE active-killer-response training this July. Those interested in becoming an ALICE instructor within their own organization (workplace, church, medical facility, school) are encouraged to apply.

ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) is a set of proactive, options-based strategies designed to increase the chances of survival during an active-killer situation.

The two-day training will take place at Western Dakota Tech July 17th and 18th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Participants who successfully complete the training will achieve ALICE instructor certification. The cost to participate is $595.

“This will be a great opportunity for interested businesses and organizations to bring this proven training into their own facilities,” says Lt. Brian Blenner of the RCPD. “ALICE strategies have been successfully incorporated district-wide by the Rapid City Area Schools district and represent the most current practices for ensuring safety in an active-killer event.”

Those interested in participating in the training can register online at https://bit.ly/2JfisAt or by calling 330-661-0106.
