Joelle Boshart is the WDTC Health Information Management Program Director. She is a Certified Professional Coder. She began coding and billing in 1986 and over the years has worked in numerous medical practices and hospital settings. Specialties include Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Colo-Rectal Surgery, General Surgery, Dermatology, Pulmonology, Neurology and Sleep Medicine, Pain
Management and Rehabilitation, Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine, and Family Practice. In 2014, she was awarded “Compliance Champion” by Regional Health Corporate Responsibility for “Always striving to do the right thing”. In the past she has held Board seats with APSPA (Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants) as Member at Large – West, Race for the Cure, Orange County Chapter as Member Secretary, and served as Treasurer for AAPC (American Association of Professional Coders) Rapid City Chapter from 2020-2021.

Bio:
Krista Kirst has a Bachelor’s degree in secondary history education from Black Hills State University and more than five years of high school teaching experience. She also has a background in health care working at Rapid City Regional Hospital/Monument in their OB Unit. Kirst is certified in CPR, CNA, First Aid, Medication Aid and Prevention Intervention.
