Still Time to Register for Engineering & Manufacturing Camp

Many good paying job opportunities exist locally and nationally in engineering and manufacturing. 

High school juniors and seniors can find out more about these careers by attending the FREE Engineering and Manufacturing Camp at Western Dakota Tech (WDT), from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 7. Space is limited for this camp, so register today at wdt.edu/camps.

Those who attend this camp will be able to participate in activities, and talk to instructors and current students, in the following WDT programs:  Computer-Aided Design, Drafting and Machining Technology, Precision Machining Technology, and Welding and Fabrication.

If you need money for college, you will want to attend Western Dakota Tech's Free Financial Aid Assistance Event, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26. (Enter main college entrance.) 

College representatives will be available to provide financial aid guidance, help you complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) regardless of where you plan to go to college, and assist with scholarship applications.

WDT Experiences Largest Technical College Enrollment Increases in South Dakota

September 30, 2019

The South Dakota Board of Technical Education announced via news release today, Sept. 30, that of the state's four technical colleges, Western Dakota Tech (WDT) has had the largest growth in headcount and full-time equivalent students fall semester 2019. WDT is now the state's third largest technical college. This is exciting news for WDT.

Established in 1968, Western Dakota Tech is the only technical college that serves the western South Dakota region. The college delivers a personal, career-oriented education ideal for the student pursuing a meaningful profession and prideful future. Faculty, staff, and administration are committed to teaching the knowledge, skills, and behaviors students need to find be successful. More than 96 percent of Western Dakota Tech's most recent graduates are working, continuing their education, or are enlisted in the military. We pride ourselves on providing the best possible facilities and technology and recently completed a significant expansion to the campus.
