The Western Dakota Tech Foundation believes that better lives and a stronger economy are created through education. Educators and employees at Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) have made an extraordinary investment in our community by helping students learn the knowledge, skills, and behaviors they need to successfully contribute to Rapid City, the Black Hills, and the state of South Dakota.
All contributions to the Western Dakota Tech Foundation support the foundation's mission of generating resources for Western Dakota Technical College in support of students and workforce development. Named Scholarships/Endowments
By establishing a named scholarship fund invested with WDT Foundation, you provide an enduring stream of scholarship support to assist current and future generations of Western Dakota Technical College students. Students receiving a scholarship at any time during their academic pursuit are 20% more likely to graduate than students that do not. Over 85% scholarship recipients in a term graduate that term or enroll in the next semester.
Donors interested in impacting the lives of our students, can gift to existing scholarship fund(s), make a one-time gift, or make annual contributions to a specific fund, or establish a name scholarship.
Donors may establish name endowments to offer living tributes and memorials to family and friends. The created fund benefits current and future students and program for years to come. The principal in the fund is never touched. Only the interest is used to make annual awards. The endowment may be funded over a period of time to reach the designed amount to generate needed funds.
