High School Students Encouraged to Register Today for Law & Public Safety Camp

Are you interested in working as a fireman, police officer, paramedic, or in a different public safety career? If "yes," you should register today to participate in Western Dakota Tech's  Law & Public Safety Camp. The event will take place on the Western Dakota Tech campus, Friday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The Law & Public Safety Camp is free and open to all high school students. Students will explore careers that protect and serve through hands-on activities. The following programs will be present at the one-day camp: Criminal Justice, Fire Science, Law Enforcement Technology, and Paramedic. Participants will learn about fire safety, what it takes to become a police officer, explore the courtroom process, and participate in Paramedic activities. Current Western Dakota Tech students and instructors will give students at the camp first-hand testimonial of their experiences with the program and industry.

Attending this camp is an excellent way for high school students to learn more about these careers and pick the one best suited for them.

Students will also tour the Western Dakota Tech campus and labs.

Students are encouraged to register now for the Law and Public Safety Camp, as space is limited. Sign up today at https://www.wdt.edu/future-students/career-exploration-camps.
