High school students interested in a career in the automotive and/or diesel industry will want to attend the college’s Mechanical Expo, in the Western Dakota Badlands Hall building, on Wednesday, Sept. 11. There will be two open periods for high school students to visit: 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The free event will include demonstrations, hands-on activities, and is an opportunity for students to learn about opportunities in the automotive and diesel trades.
The Expo will feature participation from a wide variety of industry representatives, including: The Associated General Contractors, Bierschbach Equipment & Supply, Black Hills Tools, Cloud Peak Energy, Complete Concrete, Dakota Fluid Power, Diesel Machinery, Inc. (DMI), Floyd’s/Eddie’s Truck Center, Ford, Jenner, Love’s Truck Stop, Mac Tools, NAPA, Neiman Enterprises, and others.
