Basic Welding & Machining
Classes
Basic Welding
This 6-week course will cover shop/welding safety; the fundamentals of wire feed welding and TIG welding; welding positions; and set-up/adjustments of equipment. Students will complete a project to take home.

Basic Mill
This introductory course will cover shop safety and provide hands-on training cover the use of the manual milling machine.

Cost: $279 per course. 10% discount for registering for two or more courses. Please call the Corporate Education Center at 605-718-2410 to register.
Please Note All courses require students to wear proper attire to class: steel-toed boots and non-flammable clothing, including tight-fitting, long-sleeved shirts, and safety glasses. Minimum age is 18.
EMT Refresher
WDT welcomes members of the public needing EMT/Paramedic refresher hours to join us for a series of NAEMT classes.

Classes run from 8:00am-4:00pm each day.
Cost is $100 for 8-hour classes and $150 for 16-hour classes.
Participants need to register with NAEMT (via this link and filter by state) AND with the Corporate Education Center by calling 605-718-2410.
FSA Borrower Training
This course is for Farm Service Agency (FSA) Borrowers and the Farmer/Rancher who has been farming for less than 10 years. This course meets the requirements set by the FSA for direct loan borrowing and WDT is approved as a multi-state provider of the FSA Borrower Training Course.
Hybrid Course
Dates: TBD
Time: 5:30-9:00 pm
Location: Online via Microsoft Teams. Computer, reliable internet connection, and Microsoft Office programs are required.
Cost: $400 up to two people from the same operation.
Discount for additional participants from the same operation.

American Sign Language for First Responders
Course Description: This course focuses on first responders, nurses, receptionists, and other professions that encounter Deaf or hard of hearing individuals before an interpreter is available. Areas of focus will be how to identify communication breakdown, how to calm Deaf and hard of hearing individuals, first levels of communication, request interpreter. Individuals will have an opportunity to work through mock first responder case scenarios experienced by Deaf individual’s past experiences.
