High school juniors and seniors interested in exploring career options are invited to attend the free, one-day All-Program Camp at  Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC). This hands-on career exploration experience will take place on the WDTC campus from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 19. Lunch will be provided.

This popular camp is designed for students who are still deciding what career path is best for them. This provides them the opportunity to identify their top 4 programs of interest out of the over 40 WDTC options. Registration is open now to the first 150 students at wdt.edu/camps.

Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) celebrates the latest graduates of its Class A Professional Truck Driving program. The six graduates are prepared to step into high-demand driving careers and support today’s growing transportation industry.

The Class A Professional Driving Program graduates and their South Dakota hometowns are:

• Michael Hall – Interior
• Erik Herrera – Rapid City (certificate program)
• Tanner Landin – Sturgis
• Ethan Leveque – Sturgis (certificate program)
• Skylar Smolos – Rapid City
• Wyatt Zepp – Box Elder (certificate program)

Interested in an Electrical Trades career? The opportunity to earn a degree and graduate with no debt is now a possibility.

Muth Electric, Inc. is sponsoring 10 full-ride Build Dakota Scholarships for the WDTC Electrical Trades program! Applications are open now through March 31, and you do not need to be a recent or top high school graduate to qualify.

Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) is committed to making college affordable and accessible for all students and is encouraging current and incoming students to apply for scholarships for the Fall 2026 Semester by March 31. The Fall Semester will start in August.

More than $1.25 million in scholarship funding is available for the 2026–2027 award cohort. This includes more than $1 million in full-ride Build Dakota Scholarships, with more than 70 scholarships available across 21 eligible high-demand programs. In addition, the Western Dakota Tech (WDT) Foundation offers more than 30 additional scholarships totaling approximately $250,000.

Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) congratulates the 191 students named to the 2025 Fall Semester Dean's List. To qualify, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a minimum of 12 credits in a given semester.

The Dean's List begins with South Dakota students and their hometowns followed by additional states and students.
