Bailey Hapney of Quinn, a Wall High School student who has been accepted into WDT's Business-Office Professional program, has received the $500 Rapid City Chamber Ag & Natural Resources Committee Scholarship.
The Rapid City Chamber of Commerce Ag and Natural Resources Committee partnered with WDT to present a scholarship to a student interested in attending an agriculture-related program. The scholarship was awarded based on scholastic achievement, leadership, participation in community activities, work experience, an understanding or the career and career goals.
Western Dakota Tech is the only technical institute that serves the western South Dakota region. WDT offers more than 25 programs in a variety of fields, including Business and Computers, Construction Trades, Health Services, Legal and Public Services, Manufacturing and Mechanical Trades, and Science and Technology. More than 96 percent of WDT's most recent graduates are working, continuing their education, or serving in the military, and 90 percent remain in South Dakota.
WDT faculty, staff, and administration focus their efforts on helping students gain the skills and experiences they need to succeed.
