Western Dakota Tech Hosting Inaugural S.D. Board of Technical Education Meeting July 17-18

History will be made at Western Dakota Tech when the college hosts the first official South Dakota Board of Technical Education Meeting July 17-18.

A discussion of technical education priorities and issues will take place with South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard at 3 p.m., in the Event Center, Monday, July 17. 

On Tuesday, July 18, the official Technical Education Board meeting will begin at 8 a.m., with a call to order, in the Event Center. The Board will tour Western Dakota Tech at about 1:30 p.m.

Western Dakota Tech Launching New Plumbing Technology Program

Western Dakota Tech is excited to announce a new Plumbing Technology program that will prepare students for good-paying, high-demand jobs while offering the benefits and experience of hands-on learning.

The college will begin offering a Plumbing Technology nine-month certificate, and 12-month diploma, in the Fall 2017 semester. Construction of a state-of-the-art plumbing lab will soon begin in the main campus building.
