Three Recent WDT Graduates Help Fill Need for Professional Truck Drivers

Three students recently graduated from Western Dakota Technical (WDT) College's Professional Truck Driving Program. These graduates will help fill the high and projected increasing need for truck drivers.

The Truck Driving Program graduates, all from Rapid City, are:

Western Dakota Technical (WDT) College is celebrating this year's 53rd Commencement with three ceremonies to allow for social distancing of graduates and attendees due to the pandemic. About 381 students will receive Certificates, Diplomas or Associate of Applied Science degrees - one of the largest graduating classes in WDT history.

Arbor Day Foundation Honors Western Dakota Tech with Tree Campus Higher Education Recognition

Western Dakota Tech (WDT) has been honored with Tree Campus Higher Education® recognition by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management. This first-time WDT achievement is the result of college planning and student project work in 2020 to earn the special Tree Campus designation. It is believed Western Dakota Tech is the only technical college in the state to receive the 2020 honor.
