Opportunities Include Full-Ride Build Dakota Scholarships

If you plan to attend Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC), there is FREE money available to help you pay for your education. Current and incoming students can now apply for Summer and Fall Semester scholarships through March 31. 

Scholarships include full-ride Build Dakota Scholarships for 21 eligible programs with more than 70 scholarships available for awarding. There is over $875,000 to award for the 2023-2024 award cohort. In addition, the Western Dakota Tech (WDT) Foundation has more than 30 other scholarships, totaling about $225,000, available for application.

If you need money for college, plan to attend the informational and hands-on Financial Aid and Scholarship Session at Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 7. WDTC is located at 800 Mickelson Dr.

This event, in the Library/Student Success Center, is free and open to everyone - not only those planning to attend WDTC. Registration is not necessary.

Western Dakota Technical College (WDTC) is helping fill the great need for more nurses. In honor of their WDTC Registered Nursing (RN) and Practical Nursing Fall Semester 2022 program completion, 34 students received pins during a special ceremony at the college on Friday, Dec. 16.

Nine students were recognized for having completed the Registered Nursing program. An additional 25 Practical Nursing program students were honored for completing their program. Receiving pins is a traditional symbolic welcoming of nursing graduates into the nursing field.

Four students received surprise awards during the ceremony.
